Program Information

The Bridges program provides support for Haskell students who are interested in careers in bioscience to transition to KU. Major components of the program include mentored research experiences, personalized academic counseling and career development, community engagement activities, and attendance at scientific meetings.

Bridges Program Benefits

Bridges trainees will join a community of students, faculty, and staff that provides support while preparing and developing students for a research career in Biomedical science. The Bridges program will provide:

  • financial support including a stipend and tuition assistance
  • extensive mentored research experience with a KU faculty mentor
  • personalized academic and career counseling
  • engaged interactions with a network of current scholars, successful alumni and faculty
  • specialized seminars, including scientific writing, building research skills, and how to prepare competitive graduate school applications 
  • opportunities to present research at national, regional, and local conferences, including financial support for travel and materials and supplies such as poster printing
